Understanding (JFC)
JFC allows you to create and maintain a collection of field calculators that you can use to quickly calculate special items specific to the construction industry like the number trucks required to support an excavation or concrete pour as well as other more common items like the volume and surface area of a sphere or circular slab. You can pin individual Calculators to your Windows 10 Start screen. You can also text or email the Calculator Output and Input Parameter values. This comes in handy when ordering concrete when you're in the field. JFC uses pictograms to convey calculator input parameter context. Each calculator preserves your Input Parameters and Output Results which you can then edit and change at any time. JFC is a Windows 10 Universal Application so you can use it on all of your Windows 10 devices.
Adding a new Calculator
You can add a new Calculator in a number of ways including:
1 From JFC's Start page tap the + Add Item  tile, or,
2 From JFC's Start page tap the My Items tile and then from the My Items page tap the + Add Item in the Application Bar.
In each of these case you're present with a flyout list of available calculators. From the flyout list, double tap on the Calculator that you want to add. You can display the flyout list in a full window by tapping New Window icon in the Application Bar at the top of the flyout window.
Copying a Calculator
You can copy an existing Calculator which is handy if you have a similar item to calculate. To copy a Calculator:
1 From JFC's Start page press and hold any Calculator tile shown in the Recently Viewed list and tap Copy on the shortcut menu, or,
2 From the My Items page tap the Calculator that you want to copy and thentap Copy on the Application Bar at the top.
Editing a Calculator
You can edit a Calculator's information any time by:
1 Navigate to the My Items page.
2 Tap the Calculator that you want to edit. Tap Edit Item in the Application Bar at the top, or double tap the Calculator that you want to edit.
3 Edit the Calculator's information as you want. Tap the Input Parameters on the pictogram to edit that Input Parameter. You can also change the unit type by tapping the unit type information next to the item and you you'll be present with a list of unit types to shoose from. The title of the current field is displayed just above the pictogram on the right.

You can view the input or output pictograms by tapping Input or Output just above the pictogram.

Tap = in the Application Bar to calculate and refresh the Output fields. Tapping Output just above the pictogram also calculated and refreshes the Output fields and changes the pictogram to display the output fields.

Swipe to the right in the Calculator page to view and edit the Calculator's Title, Location, Notes, On Favorites and other information.

You can resize the pictogram area so that the picture and fields fit your device's screen. Tap Unlock Resizing in the Application Bar, then swipe left or right on the image area to resize. Tap Unlock Resizing (now captioned Lock Resizing) in the Application Bar to re-lock resizing. JFC remembers your resizing scale and applies it to all other calculators.

4 Tap Back on the top Application Bar to return to previous page.
or,
1 Tap a Calculator tile in JFC's Recently Viewed list on JFC's Start page.
2 Edit the Calculator information as you want. Edit the Input Parameters as described above.
3 Tap Back
Deleting a Calculator
You can delete a Calculator  by:
1 Navigate to the My Items page.
2 Tap the Calculator that you want to delete.
3 Tap Delete on the top Application Bar.
4 Tap Yes on the Delete Confirmation dialog.
You can select and delete multiple items by first tapping Select Items in the Application Bar, selecting the items you want to delete, tapping Delete Item(s) in the Application Bar and responding Yes on the Delete Confirmation dialog. Tap Select Items again to toggle back to single select mode.
Working with the My Items Page
The My Items page displays a list of all of your Calculators. To work with a Calculator simply tap on it. You can also add a new Calculator from list list by tapping + Add Item in the Application Bar. Tap on a Calculator and choose and action like Edit, Pin to Start, Delete from the Application Bar. The My Items list is a Jump List so you can tap the Group Headers to quickly jump to a different group. You can also organize the List by Type, Title or Location by tapping Group By in the Application Bar.
Understanding the Recently Viewed list
JFC remembers the last 6 Calculators that you worked with and adds them to the Recently Viewed list on JFC's Start page. You may need to Swipe to the right to view this list when on JFC's Start page. This is useful in several ways.
1 Tapping on Recently Viewed tile opens that Calculator.
2 Pressing and holding on a Recently Viewed tile presents a list of commonly used actions that you can perform on that Calculator like Copy, Edit, Pin to Start and Delete.
Understanding the My Favorites list
JFC's Start page provides a My Favorites list of Calculators. You may need to Swipe to the right to view this list when on JFC's Start page. You can choose which Calculators are displayed in the My Favorites list by setting the On Favorites property of the Calculator. This is useful in several ways.
1 Tapping on a My Favorites tile opens that Calculator.
2 Pressing and holding on a My Favorites tile presents a list of commonly used actions that you can perform on that Calculator like Copy, Edit, Pin to Start and Delete.
Pinning a Calculator
You can pin a Calculator to the Windows Start Screen in number of ways including:
1 From JFC's Start page press and hold any Calculator tile shown in the Recently Viewed or My Favorites list and tap Pin to Start from the shortcut menu, or
2 From the My Items tap on the Calculator that you want to pin and tap Pin to Start in the Application Bar, or
3 When working with a Calculator page, tap Pin to Start from the Application Bar.
Changing JFC's Start page background image
You can personalize JFC's Start page by changing its background image in Settings
1 From JFC's Start page tap the Settings tile in the Work With list.
2 Tap on the image to choose an image from your device.
3 Set the Opacity as desired.
4 Set the Stretch mode as desired.
Texting or Email a Calculator
You can email the Input Parameters and Output Results of your Calculators. This useful, for example, to convey current concrete order requirements to the batch plant or another staff member for ordering. To email or text a Calculator:
1 Navigate to the Calculator page that you want to email or text.
2 Tap Text or Email from the Application Bar menu.
3 Note that Texting or Emailing uses your phone's data or texting plan and may be subject to additional cell phone carrier charges.
